Chateldon Water, or King Louis XIV’s Water.
It was Fagon, the physician to the court of Louis XIV, who prescribed this natural sparkling mineral water to the Sun King.
Chateldon Water became the royal water… It was transported by mule from the Puy de Dôme to be consumed at Versailles.
